My Grandmother was always taking pictures of our family and it fascinated me. When I was about 10 years old she gave me her old Brownie box camera and that was the beginning... As I got older photography took a back seat to school, work and raising a family. Time passed and I was looking for something to give me that thrill you feel as a kid when you see something for the first time. That's what photography does for me. Each time I take a picture there is the suspense of wondering if I captured what I saw. When they come out right it's like winning a prize or getting a present! Sometimes I capture so much more than I was seeing in that moment.

I've been a resident of the Clayton /Turtle Lake, WI area for 30 years. I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is my inspiration. My husband Dan and I live on 80 acres of woods, fields and ponds. I've often been asked how I can live in such a rural area; I think my images are the answer to that question. Most of my images are taken within a ½ hour’s drive from our home, many in my own back yard. I am including a page of images from my travels. My hope is that my work will help people look more closely at their own “back yard”, as well as the world around them and appreciate the beauty to be found there.

In order to share the joy of my back yard with others I have selected my favorite images and made them available to you. These images are available as blank note cards as well as prints.
